Sanctimus respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Account information:

Email address (for login and communication)
Name and age you provide during onboarding
Authentication credentials — passwords are never stored in plain text

Profile information (optional):

Your selected challenges and spiritual goals
Notification time preferences

Activity data:

Prayer streaks and daily activity
Saved verses and bookmarks
Prayer journal entries (private to you)
Novena progress and intentions
Bible reading preferences and current translation
Subscription status

AI Chatbot interactions: Conversations are sent to OpenAI for processing. We do not store full conversation history beyond the current session.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and personalize the app experience
To deliver daily notifications and reminders you have requested
To sync your data across devices
To process payments for Premium subscriptions
To improve the app and respond to your support requests
To comply with legal obligations

3. Third Party Services

Supabase — authentication, database, and storage
OpenAI — AI chatbot responses and daily reflections
DodoPayments — payment processing for subscriptions
Expo — push notifications and app infrastructure

These services have their own privacy practices. We share only the minimum data necessary.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Your Rights

Access your data
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your account and associated data
Opt out of marketing communications

EU users have additional rights under GDPR. California users have rights under CCPA. Contact us at support@sanctimus.com to exercise any of these rights.

6. Children

Sanctimus is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
